I have a visible presence on YouTube. Of course there are videos, that I like in general. There is a large library of Blue Rodeo videos that I like to share with those who like the band as much as I do and also to introduce new listeners to this great Canadian talent.
Not to step on any artists toes or rights, I have created videos for songs that I am unable to find on YouTube but think that they are so good they must be shared. Often these are songs that did not get a lot of airplay and are less well known in the general public. To that end, you will find some Blue Rodeo and Skydiggers. Do yourself a favour...Listen! Share! But the thing that started my directoral video career was a ditty that was penned about my brothers short life. As a teenager, Ron Sdraulig worked part-time at McDonalds - he was by all accounts a good employee and won several accolades. One was a portable radio in the shape of a large fry. For winning Employee of the Month, he was awarded a wall clock with Ronald McDonald in the centre. That clock is one of the themes behind the song written and sung by Dan Gleeson (part time musician/composer/singer) from Thunder Bay, Ontario. I made the recording I had been sent into a video using pictures of him and his siblings (yes, me too) growing up. A short life that should never be forgotten for he was one of a kind and is missed greatly to this day...more than 30 years after passing.
